Job Description The Facility Manager is responsible for running and supervising the company's Staff accommodations at different locations and to ensure the safety and hygiene of camp premises. Supervision of catering staff and the quality of food stuffs.
MAIN DUTUIES: The main duty of this position is the overall management of all the company's camp facilities in Qatar. To carry out this function below is a schedule of but is not limited to, the main functions of the position:
OPERATION:
Develop and maintain a system for ensuring that the facilities are prepared well in advance to receive new arrivals/departures of “residents”. Room allotment for employees as per company norms.
Develop and maintain a system for ensuring that only authorized personnel gain access to camp facilities.
Develop and maintain a system, including reporting to affected departments, for ensuring that sick/injured or those requiring attention are dealt with timeously with the necessary degree of sensitivity, while within the camp environs.
Maintain complete details of employees staying in the camp.
To maintain all stationary records of residents.
To enforce strict discipline in the camp premises.
MAINTENANCE:
Develop and maintain a system for ensuring that all camp facilities are operated and maintained in a safe and efficient manner.
Develop and maintain a system that ensures that adequate notice is given for provision/replacement of camp assets.
Develop and maintain a camp assets register and control issue of camp materials.
FINANCE:
Develop and maintain an operating budget for all camps
Manage the camps against this operating budget
Take corrective action where necessary
Continually search for and implement, where necessary, operational improvements which result in improved levels of service as well as financial savings.
Develop and maintain a system to control the consumption of energy and water.
HEALTH AND SAFETY:
Ensure that the camps have an up-to-date health and safety system
Ensure that the camps have an up-to -date and well communicated emergency evacuation and response plan
Ensure that all the camps have adequate first aid equipment.
Ensure that camp premises are always clean and tidy.
Control of movement of vehicles into and within the camp premises.
GENERAL:
Carry out all related duties that may be assigned.
Arrange a regular monthly meeting of employees’ representatives (a committee to be formed) to discuss problems and find solutions for continued improvement.
Carry out regular inspections of all camp facilities and implement corrective measures as appropriate.
Ensure close liaison and co-operation with The Catering Department.
REQUIREMENTS:
Mechanical Degree or Diploma, at least 7 - 10 years management experience. Strong administrative systems implementation, financial/ budget skills.
Ability to work with and manage a diverse team. Must be able to speak, read and write English fluenty.
Minimum of 5 years of facilities management experience would be preferred.
